Graham nasce a Toronto, Ontario, figlio di Dennis Graham, un batterista che ha lavorato con Jerry Lee Lewis; suo zio è il musicista Teenie Hodges. Padre AfroAmericano di Memphis, Tennessee, e la madre un' ebrea bianca canadese.
